The legendary Ultra South Africa is back again, this time with new festival dates for next year, as well as a brand spanking new venue for Cape Town. What’s not to love?

So what is new? Well, the venue for Cape Town for one, next year will see Ultra at the Cape Town stadium, which means a completely feel and exciting feel.

While the lineup hasn’t yet been announced, we have been lucky enough to have the likes of international artists Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Axwell^Ingrosso, Skrillex Hardwell, Martin Garrix, DVBBS, Gorgon City and Oliver Heldens perform over the years. Locally, it has been no less exciting with Protoculture, Goldfish, Pascal & Pearce, Ian Skene and many more.

Ultra 2017 will take place in Cape Town on the 24th of February at the Cape Town and on the 25th in Johannesburg at the Nasrec Expo Centre. Ticket prices range from R650 – R1600 depending on when you get your hands on them as well as if you choose a VIP package.

I know it is going to be an incredible experience and cannot wait for it. You can preregister now and get your tickets very soon.

I’ll be keeping you updated with all the news and happening and will see you there!

It’s been happening live all day, the announcements for Huawei Joburg Day have been rolling out throughout the day. It is set to take place on 3 September and promises to be something special.

Eight of the best and brightest local acts have been announced, with the last one coming in later today. Those already announced are favourites including MiCasa, Matthew Mole, Kwesta, Timo ODV, Goodluck, as well as DJ Kent, Kyle DeutschShekhina and AKA.

I have a feeling the last announcement will be the hugely popular DJ and producer Sketchy Bongo.

“Huawei is super excited about the partnership with 947. It’s evident by the line up, that the hottest SA musicians will be performing at Huawei Joburg Day.  With the refreshed Huawei Joburg Day concept, concert goers are in for a unique experience,” said Hawa Hyath, Marketing Director, Huawei Consumer Business Group, Sub Sahara.

It’s going to be one not to miss and I may just see if I can buy myself a plane ticket and visit for that one!

It’ll take place at Crocodile Creek, near Lanseria on Saturday 3 September and it is going to be an incredible day and showcase. You can get your tickets for just R380 here.

What are you waiting for? Get going, you don’t want these to sell out!

I can’t believe it is under a week until Summer Waves, under a week until Jasmine Thompson, James Hersey, FlicFlac, Pop Art Live and more take to the stage at Shimmy Beach Club.

Yes, you read that correctly, the chart topping Jasmine Thompson, with songs like ‘Adore’ and collaborations with the likes of Robin Schulz will perform alongside James Hersey, known for his work with Dillon Francis and Kygo on ‘Coming Over’ and the formidable duo FlicFlac are set to shake things up.

It is an absolutely incredible line up and tickets are a steal at just R95.

Summer Waves takes place on Sunday the 17th of April. I’ll see you there!
