Rocking the Daisies Ticket Giveaway. iScream and The Chocolate Stix Style.
Remember I told you about the Converse Get Out Of The Garage competition? Where Converse is giving one unsigned band the opportunity to play at London’s 100 Club and a lucky fan and a friend get will to go with the band too! Amazing? I know.
Now this is where the fun part comes in, iScream & The Chocolate Stix have been voted as one of the Top 10 bands and have asked me to help them get their fans to vote. Think 2 tickets to Rocking The Daisies. Yup, you read that right. A possible trip to London and tickets Daisies all with a few clicks of a button.

Would be amazing to win tickets, I’m a student, severely broke but desperately wanting to get my hands on some Rocking the Daisies tickets. Huge bloc party fan, wouldn’t miss them for anything…

@iscreamandthechocolatestix is one of the best bands in cape town at the moment, not only because of their music but take some time to chat to the band members…you will very quickly witness that they are the craziest cool cats too!!!! I would love to spend the long weekend jamming with you guys at @RockingtheDaisies let alone LONDON TOWN!!!! whoop whoop. holding thumbs.

Done!!! RTD is definitely one of THE best festivals of the year, and always has such a great selection of SA bands (ok, I’ve only been once, but I think the line-up has proved that year after year). I REALLY want the tickets because not only am I strapped for cash like most students, I am relocating to the USA next year, and this is probably my last chance to go!!

All I want to do is tell you about how much I deserve the tickets because I’m a student and I’m broke (very broke), but all the people above have already said that… This will be my first Rocking the Daisies because I’m from Nelspruit and all we have for musical enjoyment in Nelspruit is the Afrikaans festival, Innibos, so I’m keeeen for some South African talent that’s just a bit different to Bok and Steve and Kurt!

I’m FINALLY spending all my money going to the US for a few weeks in September, but not to anything cool like Lollapalooza or Coachella or even that Juggalo thing. You know who I get to see? Journey. Mother-flipping Journey. Don’t get me wrong, I’m going to get drunk and sing Don’t Stop Believing at the top of my lungs, but still. Like I couldn’t go see irrelevant bands who peaked 20 years ago in SA?
Seriously though, you guys were one of my top moments of RtD last year, so keen to repeat! How’s a mini-reunion? I’m buying the beers;-)

I voted (naturally)….cause i smaak there tunes so freaking much and was front line centre when they played last year…and why i should win…well i am a student up to my neck in student loans and still not sure how im going to pay for the rest of my year. I normally make extra bucks on babysitting so i can attend events like daisies but now i have a clinical block at red cross childrens hospital meaning I cannot babysit cause I dont want to make more kiddies sick with all the kiddy bugs i might be carrying around and this is consequently creating severe financial implications in my life….like seriously…and i have for the past 4 years worked very hard and diligently to save up and be there in full force, one year even ending on crutches cause my dancing got so excessive…i am part of the furniture and know what its all about at this festival and its breaking my heart to think that i cannot go…pretty pretty pretty please!!!! im even getting all my friends to vote….
I voted and liked everything!! i really need these tickets, because I have NO money and have been going to Daisies for the past three years! They will just be too sad if I don’t go this year! Plus I won’t be able to come next year because I have to do a year of working in a place far far away! Daisies is the best party in the world and I might die if I miss it. Voted. iScream and the chocolate stix are sickkkkkkk… i really want the tickets because in 2010 i saved up for like 2 years to go to the uk to visit my girlfriends parents because i hadent met them after dating for 3 years…I heard how wild this festival so i bought a ticket to RTD and i hit the road on route to RTD from durban. On the way there the car’s engine seized ( opel kadett early 90′s model) about 200 km outside of cape town and the festival was starting in a couple of hours. I decided to phone a car towing company and get them to collect my car and tow it back to durban and i hitch hiked the rest of the way with a cooler box, a tent, and the clothes on my back. I finally got to the festival, super amped and realised my f*****ing ticket was still in the cubbie hole. I thought no ways i am missing out so bought a new ticket at the gate. well to cut a long story short, by the time i got back home after the festival. I had 50 rand of my uk savings left, still havent been able to get my car back, and obviously lost my girlfriend due to irresponsibility. But that was one HELL of a weekend and i really wanna do it again so please give those tickets.

I have recentry relocated to Cape Town and doing ALL the touristy things I can, and have been told this fesival is something I absolutely HAVE to do – I am a huge fan of Spashey Fen (Yes, I was a Durbanite) and aparently this is even better!! I met the iScream team at the Good food & wine show this year and promised that I will be seeing them at RTD. NOw all my friends got early bird tix but being flat broke I couldn’t and the budget isn’t looking up by the end of the month either.

I hav not been to a festival like THE Epic RTD!!! can’t wait to experience everything of this event!!! I am a Fine art student at Michaelis – so busy alll the time and use all my monies on art supplies and this would be such a reward 
! all my friends are lucky enough to go – some lucky devils got their tickets for free and i love free stuff ( its crazy) !!! also i am so so sooooooooooo EXCITED for the line up mainly for ALLLL of the bands not only Bloc Party (which i can not wait for ) ! And i know everyone obviously wants free tickets but i know i will have more fun than anyone else eva has !!!! I’m 100% indie awesomeness ness and will be a rocking daisy at this event if i get tickets or even if i have to camp outside the event!

Every single year I have to give RTD a no because of “insufficient funds” (sad student life story) & it would be amazing If I could finally experience it this year
