The official video for Black Handed Kites ‘Up’ is here, the video was directed by Robin Goode and produced by Giant Films and Boom.fm.
Black Handed Kites is a new indie folk band from Cape Town that first caused a stir with their homemade iPhone video of ‘Up’. They are playing at Oppikoppi this year but expect to see a lot more of them before that.
Those at Boom.fm say “When we first saw the Black Handed Kites’ home-made iPhone video on YouTube we immediately knew we wanted to do something rad with them”. Shot atop Lion’s Head, the video tells a story of two musicians leaving town before the world comes to an end.
The track “Up’ is now exclusively available for free download here, with the rest of the album to be released on Boom.fm over the next few months. Keep an eye out for it, it should be a good one!
