Vanfokkingtasties. Acoustic Album and Tour.
Guess who is back? Vanfokkingtasties of course. Yup, four of South Africa’s most well-known bands are coming together again. Think a new and exciting Vanfokkingtasties Acoustic album. The bands will each be creating two acoustic versions of old favourites and will also introduce a brand new track each on the album. The album will be released by Supra Familias at the end of April or the very beginning of May. So keep an eye out for it.
As for those tracks, Van Coke Kartel will release some old goodies from Skop, Skiet en Donner as well as a new song thrown in for good measure.
Fokofpolisiekar will release their old classics with a new twist and their third song is still cloaked in mystery and will be announced at a later stage. It should be fantastic and in their new sound. Keep an eye out for that too.
aKING had Pierre-Arnold Theron and Jacques du Plessis from ‘Mr Cat and the Jackal’ joined them on percussion and piano for a few songs and look to rlease a new one too.
Die Heuwels will also showcase two old favourites with a new take.
After all this comes the fun part, the tour. The guys will take to the road to launch this album and they are going just about everywhere.
