This is precisely the recipe of the Melbourne based collaborative duo Sunmonx. Consisting entirely of one pinch Opiuo and one drop Austero, they power through the organic ear ways with their own unique, melodically balanced, precisely garnished, belly satisfying, hot’n’chunky meal.
Originally from New Zealand and Mexico respectively, Opiuo and Austero met early in 2008 and instantly knew they had to combine their unique ideas, influences and rhythmic vibrations. They made their presence known on the world stage and have since had their visionary creations played all around the globe. Addicted to all shapes and forms of melody, beats and harmony, Sunmonx take you on a live hybrid exploration into new realms of downbeat, dub, progressive beats and all things electronica.
Sunmonx have kept themselves busy in the acoustic kitchen over the last 3 years, carefully combining their nutritious homegrown musical ingredients and perfecting their gourmet dub-infused recipes. Power Salad contains nothing but the freshest fruits of this labour, cultivated as the pair step beyond their self-released Rigiti EP.

Combining Opiuo’s renowned production style with Austero’s tasty guitar grooves, this refreshing sonic fusion weaves together threads from the worlds of blues, dub, funk and beyond.
