I’m still not over the White Stripes break up. I’ve been fragile and in denial for the past few weeks, then I came across a sublime cover of The White Stripe’s ‘Seven Nation Army‘ and everything was right with the world.
Meet French singer Ben L’Oncle, who, with his EP Soul Wash, has brought a new flavour and soulful feel to covers songs by The White Stripes, Gnarls Barkley and Katy Perry. Oh and Aqua, yes it’s ‘Barbie Girl’ like you’ve never heard it.
Soul Wash was the perfect introduction to Ben L’Oncle and I’m getting my hands on his album as soon as I can. You should too. Trust me.
