This is everything I love about Gaga. On the surface she appears to be another pop parasite, and at a glimpse everyone makes their decision about her… but a closer “look” reveals so much more and actually exposes those judgemental individuals while simultaneously exposing the shallow underbelly of pop music. Brilliant! I’ve always said there were ulterior motives afoot with Gaga… and I’m sticking by it!
Paparazzi is hands down my favourite Gaga tune, what was really interesting to hear is that Muse’s Matt Bellamy said it was his favourite song of last year when asked (by whom, I can’t remember)
Not only can she sing, but she a musician in the classical sense. Not just someone screaming down a mic, but hitting the ivory keys beautifully. Even if she is a little weird.
looks to me that the vocals were tweaked.
just because she might be able to play the piano on a relatively elemental level and choose the right people to tweak her vocals to synthesized “perfection” does not make her a musical genius.
i would be much more inclined to respect an artist if they were not sending all the wrong messages to young women of the world. wearing little-to-nothing and writing songs about the hardened face one must adopt to be a stripper isn’t exactly what I would call a positive influence.
if lada gaga is really looking to change the world of music then perhaps she should adopt a song and dance that we haven’t seen time and time agian.
@Courtney: I refer you back to my comment ^^ She’s making a mockery of pop diva-ism IMO and both the obsessives and detractors alike are only seeing the surface!… Watch the videos of her performing as the Tori Amos-esque singer-songwriter Stephanie, and consider what she’s become now – Then listen to some of her lyrics and you’ll see this isn’t the work of a pop chameleon, but rather that of a resentful saboteur.
Well, this doesn’t show me that she can sing. At most, it shows me she’s quite good at playing the piano whilst talking. Alicia Keys can sing – that is singing and piano playing on a professional entertainer level. Lady Gaga shouldn’t be known except for a reject X-factor audition video.

I am glad others here can see her for what she is. I am still learning about her but still don’t get it. She won or was nominated for Grammys??? That seems sad. She can bang on a keyboard and provide groany, grainy rumblings like about a million other pub hacker/musicians. What gave her a break in the music business is beyond me. So many talented people out there who never get the chance. She has little talent from what I have seen. I play and sing and I can tell you I am no professional and can easily do what she is doing here and without much effort. There is nothing technical or difficult about her singing or playing. In my opinion it is not enjoyable either. Not sure what is attractive about her either – ridiculous outfits that mean nothing and distract (maybe that is the point) from her (lack of) talents. Completely mindless and ho hum. Just another wannabe who wants attention.
dude do u hear the voice filters that r working which r actually amplifying her lower tones n fixing the sqeek in her high tone…………..she is singing flat with missing the high pitch completely and the notes n keys r going haywire………yeh she can play the instrument so can millions of others and better than her
