The Parlotones: Push Me To The Floor

The Best Video Category. Fokofpolisiekar deserve that one. The video was amazing. No contest.

New Holland: Uhuru

Straatligkinders: Gewonde Standbeeld

The Parlotones: Push Me To The Floor

Van Coke Kartel: Wat Het Van Ons Geword?

The Best Group. It should be Die Heuwels, Van Coke Kartel or New Holland. Not the Parolotones. Please.

Best Solo Artist:

Albert de Wet: 3 Jaar

Jax Panik: Hit Or Miss

Jesse Clegg: Today

Josie Field: Law Of Attraction

Vaughan Gardiner: Gooi Jou Arms Om My

Last year Lianie May took home the prize of Best Solo Artist against artists like Jax Panik and Dan Patlansky Let’s not have something like that again. ever. I hope Jax gets the award this year.

Dear Reader: Great White Bear

The Cavalier: Lonely King Of Hearts

The Parlotones: Overexposed

The Sick Leaves: All These Foolish Things I’ve Said

The Best Special Effects. Dear Reader, The Sick Leaves and Cutout Collective are all pretty strong contenders…

Best Newcomer:

Colour Blind: My Identiteit

Die Lewens: Die Soet Revolusie

Gazelle: Die Verlore Seun

Locnville: Sun In my Pocket

Macgyver Knife: What Do You Mean?

Before I say who I’d choose for Best Newcomer, I’d like to ask who exactly Macgyver Knife and Die Lewens are? Never heard of them. As for who I’d like to see win, I’m all for Gazelle. Crazy. Unique and brilliant.

As for Best Colab, I’d go for aKING or Martin Rocka ft Tamara Dey.

Neon:

Flash Republic: Twister

Goldfish: Soundtracks and comebacks

Haezer ft Jax Panik: Sirens in the night

Kidofdoom: Gotham city

Yesterday’s Pupil: Lines and colours

Aah, the Neon category, it’s a surprisingly tough choice as I’d like to see all of them win.

Best International Hit:

Black Eyed Peas: I got a feeling

Green Day: 21 Guns

Kings of Leon: Sex on fire

Lady Gaga: Poker face

Linkin Park: New divide

For the Best International Hit, I’d personally go for Kings of Leon, but most people would probably go for Lady Gaga or the Back Eyed Peas.

Campus Hit:

Colour Blind: My identiteit

Die Heuwels Fantasties: Pille vir kersfees

Koldproduk & Straatligkinders: Desvalido

eF-eL: Sindikaat

Cutout Collective: 8-bit logic

Campus Hit, it’s tough one; I think Die Heuwels have a very good chance as do Koldproduct & Straatligkinders.

Pretty Blue Guns: Bad liver blues

Taxi Violence: Devil ‘n pistol

Zebra & Giraffe: Oxymoron

Skinny Jeans Tune (aka Indie) is an interesting category with my votes for Zebra & Giraffe, Ashtray Electric or Taxi Violence (I’m aware my choices are half of the nominees but hey)…

Porn Ster:

Kurt Darren: Kaptein

Robbie Wessels: Player 23

Snotkop: Katrien

Wicus van der Merwe: Spietkop
