News from Jax Panik

Jax Panik is best known for performing, distributing, packaging, and promoting his music in weird and wonderful ways – predominantly online.

Jax recently performed live for the first time, at the 2009 Loeries. He  says “hopefully this will set the trend for the Jax Panik live performance going forward. This is what Jax Panik Live is all about; it’s a performance, not some bogus live band / everyone playing their instruments kind of nonsense you’ve seen a bezillion times before…”

Jax’s performances will be just that, a performance, part show, part gig and highly unusual.

In other news, Jax and producer Johnny de Ridder are currently working on a new album, due for release in March 2010.

The new Jax Panik album is “set to be a masterpiece unlike any the SA music scene has seen before.” As always, fans can look forward to a collection of ultra catchy electro-pop tracks. The album will also feature exciting collaborations with unexpected contributors like SA R&B legend Ameen Harron & rapper HC.

Jax Panik’s current album, Cigarettes & Cinnamon was released independently and is still doing extremely well as digital download and as a physical CD .

Watch out for an upcoming music video featuring a medley of Jax Panik tracks, as well as the last single off this release – ‘Talking To Myself’ (which you can download for free here).

The future is bright and 2010 looks to see Jax Panik becoming an even bigger hit, both locally and abroad.
