The 2009 MTV Africa Music Award Winners
2FACE, HHP, Mo’ Hits Allstars, STL and Zebra & Giraffe joined performers such as Akon, Wyclef Jean, M.I., A.Y., Lizha James, Fally Ipupa, Blu3, Da LES, Lira, Nameless, Samini and Wahu on the stage at the Awards on 10 October 2009.
The Awards, have been dubbed the ‘Oscars’ of the African contemporary music scene, it was be filmed and broadcast for the first time in high definition, “showing the scale and ambition of the African music scene to the rest of the world.”
