Jax Panik Live at the Loeries

JP

When Jax Panik posted this status on Facebook “I’m playing LIVE at a big corporate event this weekend” his fans went crazy, all wondering where it was and if they could get tickets. Jax remained secretive until Friday night when he then revealed that he and his group “were the opening act at the 2009 Loerie Awards.” He continued with “pinch yourself Jax!”

He may have played ‘live’ at the Speakerbox launch a few months back, but he dubs the Loeries as his first performance. Jax and I talked about his performance as well as what next for him in terms of live shows.

He chose the Loeries as “they were up for anything” and jokingly adds “they willing to pay good money for romance”.

He “didn’t stay to watch the Loeries” a pity, as it’s been reported he missed out on one hell of an awards show…

Some of those lucky enough to catch his performance thought it was “awesome” “fucking great” and “radical…”

He says excitedly, the most fun part of the whole experience was “watching the whole thing on a video screen from backstage”.

Jax says “hopefully this will set the trend for the Jax Panik live performance going forward. This is what Jax Panik Live is all about; it’s a performance, not some bogus live band / everyone playing their instruments kind of nonsense you’ve seen a bezillion times before…”

Jax’s performances will be just that, a performance, part show, part gig and highly unusual.

As he doesn’t play very often you’ll be lucky to catch him live-but when you do; it’ll be well worth it.

Check out the performance below!
