Plush thinks voting is ‘All For The Better’

All For The Better-by Brett Schewitz – Sheer Sound

The video depicts ashes burning backwards to finally reveal the logos of various South African political parties. South Africans of different races, ages and genders are standing alongside the flags with placards encouraging citizens to vote. Says Plush’s manager, Brandon Prevost, “The video is a message. It’s about how after the 1994 elections the world said that South Africa was doomed. The flags burning backwards represents the fact that South Africa, as a nation, has grown out of the ashes of Apartheid to the nation as we know it today. In addition, one normally protests by burning flags or logos, we are reversing the process thus representing a positive message.” The video can currently be seen on various TV stations across South Africa…

Ambassadors of the South African music scene, Plush, have released a pertinent message to the citizens of South Africa – vote, no matter who it’s for. The Cape Town based band have released a video message using their chart topping single, “All For The Better”, as the soundtrack encouraging South Africans to use their democratic right to vote in the upcoming national elections.
