“What do you get when you combine three indie rock Jersey boys with an R&B raised rock inspired singer from Connecticut? You get a foot-tapping head-nodding sound so intense that you can’t help but break into dance. That’s Blast Rocks Midtowns’ mission.
Currently, BRM! is in their home studio recording single releases of demos entitled Sessions In The Attic. The band will be heading into White Heat Recording Studio’s in early August to start the tracking of their first EP recording , slated to be released December 16, 2008. Unlike bands of similar stature who rush to get their album completed in a matter of weeks, Blast Rocks Midtown is taking their time to make sure all of the pieces come together just right. Mike Wurum, guitar and synthesizer says it well; “This is our debut and introduction to the world… we want to make a good first impression.” And with intensive practice sessions 2-3 times per week, they’re preparing for just that.
Blast Rock’s Midtown is taking the local scene by storm and are prepared to gain a loyal following by whatever means necessary. This kind of determination and strife is sure to get these kids noticed, as their DIY attitude is sending waves across the tri-state area.
