Jason Mraz.
While writing I find it’s best to listen to music (maybe that’s just me) but it clears my head, the song on repeat for the next x amount of hours is “The Dynamo Of Volition” by Jason Mraz, from his new album (“we sing,we dance,we steal things” also the title of my blog).
I love Jason Mraz and he seems to have moved away from his old style of song writing (on his older albums he never seemed to have much of a chorus, or it was never very catchy, but I loved it all the same), his stand out songs from his album “Mr A-Z” were definitely “Geek in the Pink”, “Wordplay” and “Did You Get My Message”, those had some catchy choruses going.
As I’ve said his new music seems to be way catchier now, that way making him more commercial and mainstream.”Jason Mraz is listed at #3 selling 73,000 copies [of"we sing,we dance,we steal things", in his first week]. This beats his personal best, which was a top spot of #5 in 2005 with “Mr.A-Z” This was back in May already, in the Atlantic Records newsletter, and we’re only starting to hear a lot of his music now.
His newest release “Make It Mine” will be a surefire hit! (if it’s not, well people don’t know what good thing is)! It’s catchy, sweet and simple and he incorporates a bit of the old and the new, Go, Jason!
I really hope he releases “The Dynamo Of Volition” next as it will surely surpass the success of Make It Mine’..
xx
yours in musical madness!

Jason Mraz is a creative genius. His music cannot be defined by a single category. His duet with Colby Calliet is lovely and I hope they do an entire record together someday. Thank you Mr. Mraz, you are an inspired poet and a charming live act.
